The 31-year-old MTV presenter - who quit 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now' - is set to show off her dancing skills on the new series of the BBC One show.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Laura loves the show and is partial to dance on a night out so 'Strictly' is a great fit."

Laura is reportedly hoping that taking part in the show will lead to exciting job offers, after missing out on 'The Xtra Factor' role to BBC Radio 1 DJ Matt Edmondson.

Earlier this year, Laura, who had fronted 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Now! since 2011 - turned her back on the jungle-based spin-off show after five "incredible years" at the helm in order to spread her wings and try new ventures.

Taking to her Instagram account, she wrote: "After 5 incredible series working with my extended 'I'm A Celeb' family, I've taken the rough decision to hang up my jungle boots... It's been such a wonderful experience but I feel it's time to move on. I wish the team well and look forward to tuning in later this year as well as continuing to work with ITV on other shows. Meanwhile, Matt, who currently presents the Weekend Breakfast Show, was revealed as the new host of 'The Xtra Factor' this week, taking over the ITV2 spin-off show from last year's co-presenters Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom.

Matt said: "I am unbelievably excited about joining 'The Xtra Factor' this year, not least of all because on my first day Louis Walsh walked into my dressing room topless, unannounced. I regard this as the definition of 'living the dream.'"
