The 53-year-old comedian - who is a presenter on the show alongside Mel Giedroyc - can't believe how many gifted contestants have walked through the doors in a bid to impress judges Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue, Martin Kemp and Amber Riley.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he said: "Well, we're making it! We've seen 60 or 70 guys and now we're down to about 40.

"I'm really impressed with the talent, you always think, 'How many people can be out there?' But some of these people are extraordinary and you just think, 'One, why haven't you entered other competitions? And two, why aren't you already famous?' I'm talking really stunningly talented people."

Dannii hasn't had the best of luck when it comes to UK talent shows as she previously locked horns with Sharon Osbourne when they were both judges on 'The X Factor' in 2007.

But Graham is adamant there's no tension between him and the Australian beauty on the show and he doesn't intend for there to be.

He explained: "I've never fallen out with Dannii Minogue, I know Sharon Osbourne has. I have said things about Dannii, but I've said things about most people!

"Gary is amazing, you know he's a consummate professional."

'Let It Shine, which will hit screens early next year, follows Gary's search for five members to replicate his band Take That for a new musical based on the group's highs and lows of their industry journey.
