As one of the most loved sketches and routines from Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show in American - which pits Fallon himself against celebrity guests to see who can mime pop songs better - the new show is to be hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigan, with each episode featuring two A-listers lip-syncing their hearts out in hysterical performances.

Further names announced for the series will include Queen Latifah and Mike Tyson, with executive producers Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski and Stephen Merchent also set to appear and perform. The audience at each show will get involved by voting for their winners.

Recently finishing filming in America, the UK broadcast is to come just weeks after the US launch.

Stephen Merchant said of the show: "What began during a car-ride as a silly joke between me and John Krasinski has become the TV contest you won't want to miss. You'll see superstars pulling out all the stops, as well as props, costumes and dance-moves, to prove they're the best at not singing. It's fun, infectious and endlessly surprising... and during my performance you'll see things that can never be unseen. So, sorry for that."
