Lord Sugar has spent the past 12 weeks hunting for his next business partner but, when it came down to it, he couldn't decide who he wanted to give his £250,000 investment to and, after much deliberation, he picked both to be his partner.

The shock twist is the first time the 70-year-old business magnate has chosen two winners - making show history - and he decided that rather than split the £250,000 between them, he would offer them both the lump sum with 50/50 partnership.

Sarah - who runs a confectionery business - exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It's incredible, I'm so so happy and excited about what the future will bring. I feel really proud and privileged to be part of this new shock thing he's done this year because, for me, it's just so lovely that he's seen enough in both of them to spend £500,000 and obviously with that does come pressure but that's what we were both here for."

And James - who owns a recruitment firm - is relieved that Lord Sugar didn't decide to split the money because the £250,000 will "probably" change his life.

James explained: "We get on really well and it's a great feeling because not only have we both won, he hasn't halved the money for each. He's giving us both £250,000. That's real money and that will really change my business and probably my life moving forward. It's nice just do it with Sarah because we've gone through the same experience and then go to through this as well is just really nice."

However, it wasn't a decision Lord Sugar made lightly as he spent a lot of time speaking with his trusty aides Karren Brady and Claude Littner.

He told them: "It is quite obvious that there are two fantastically skilled people there. Sarah is very eloquent, she knows her business inside out, although why she hasn't done the commercial website properly, I don't get. With James, a very, very crowded market, but he has proved that he can do it when he worked for someone."

But he's sure he's made the right decision investing in both of them.

He said: "This is a historic moment I suppose, in the thirteen years we've been doing this. And it's really because of what I said in the episode.

"I couldn't make a decision, it had to be both of them! They were two genuinely great experts in their field and I'm looking forward to going into business with them."
