Fans were left devastated when they found out that the deluded wannabe vet and her sister Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) were set to be written out of the long-running soap later this year but, although bosses have teased a "dramatic and explosive" storyline for the girls, the 21-year-old actress still doesn't know whether she'll be killed off.

Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, the blonde beauty said: "It's nice to have someone to talk about it to, and to share the burden with. We don't know the exit storyline yet, but I've had a fantastic 11 yeas here, so I'm looking forward to what the future holds. I'm going to miss playing Abi though ... I keep getting tagged in things on social media - like clips where Abi sings to a gerbil! Then there was a period when I was about 14 years old where I tried a side fringe and it just didn't work! It was so bad I had to gel it down!"

And, although Lorna doesn't have anything lined up for after her exit yet, she has admitted she's got her eye on some theatre work and would love to make it on the West End.

She explained: "I'd love to do something really different.

"This will sound crazy, but 'The Exorcist' is on the West End for Halloween - imagine playing a role in that! No one could compare it to Abi - at least I hope not!"

Meanwhile, although details on Abi's departure are being kept tightly under-wraps for the time being, it's believed things will blow up between her and her sister Lauren over the next few weeks when the web designer finds out her sibling was besotted with her dead fiance Steven Beale and is even carrying his baby after a secret affair earlier this year.

Lorna said: "We're building towards a big Branning Christmas, and it'll be explosive. It could even top the one with Max (Branning, played by Jake Wood) and Stacey's (Fowler, played by Lacey Turner) affair [in 2007] being exposed by that infamous DVD."
