The Love Island cast is growing at a rapid rate, with the arrival of 28-year-old male Bombshell Charlie Radnedge in tonight’s (June 23rd, 2022) episode.

"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity," says the real estate developer before entering the villa. "I've got to give it a go."

He continues: "I date quite a lot in London and I've been single for three years, so I'm not having that much success in that department, so why not try something new?"

Admitting he's "quite a different personality to the guys in there", Charlie says he is "quite forward and straight talking", but also "quite a relaxed person" who will "bring good vibes".

Talking more about his fellow Islanders, he said: "I am probably slightly more mature than some other people in the villa. I've got some things figured out. I think I'm ready to settle down, basically."

So why is he single? "Part of it is that I'm very happy on my own," he claims.

"I enjoy doing stuff on my own and having my own space. I don’t require someone else to make me feel happy. If I do get into a relationship, I want it to be something that adds to both of our lives, rather than it being something my happiness is dependent on. I’m probably at the age where the next serious relationship, that’ll be it I reckon, so I want to be sure."

Unlike many of those who have come before him, Charlie says he "would have an issue stepping on people's toes if they're good friends of mine." In saying that, he then admits that "everyone's there for the same reason" and says: "Even people who have good intentions and are good people would need to step on people's toes to find what they're looking for."

Charlie says he has an "open mind" going into the villa, but he already has his eye on Ekin-Su, Paige and Tasha. Despite this, he "might get on with someone I didn't fancy before", as he is "very much on the personality side of things and whether you vibe with someone" when it comes to dating.

He's hoping for some good conversation in the villa, and thinks he's "good at setting the boundary", so he "won't let myself go there [falling in love] unless I'm confident about it."

Let’s see if he’s good at sticking to his word!

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
