'Love Island' is set to get an explosive Christmas special.
The romantic reality TV show will bound back onto screens over the festive period for a one-off episode as contestants and couples from the summer series join winners Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey for a magical winter offering.
A source told The Sun Online: "The whole project is currently in pre-production but there's a real buzz around the idea. It's just a case of working out the logistics with schedules and locations."
Although it's meant to be a jolly time of year, there will no doubt be plenty of drama, tantrums and tears when the cast reunite for the first time since their fiery time in the Spanish villa in July.
Details on the special aren't yet known but it's believed bosses are hoping to find a winter destination to house the contestants.
Some couples that met in the villa are still going strong and have moved in together, while others are making digs at one another on social networking sites after their on screen feuds.
Winners Cara and Nathan - who walked away with the £50,000 prize money - are planning to buy a house together, while runners-up Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen can't stop gushing about their perfect relationship and now live together in Essex.
Scotty Thomas has asked his girlfriend Kady McDermott to move in with him in Manchester, Rykard Jenkins and Rachel Fenton are still very much in love, Sophie Gradon and Tom Powell can't resist putting on a public display of affection and Terry Walsh and Emma Woodhams have finally become official.
Zara Holland - who hit the headlines in the summer after she had her Miss GB crown swiped away from her after she had sex on camera - is one of the only ones still single.
