Mark Wright has slammed Lucy Mecklenburgh after she took a swipe at him in an interview.
The former 'Only Way is Essex' star has hit out at the brunette beauty - who he briefly dated in 2010 when the pair starred on the ITV2 reality show together - branding her a "kiss and tell girl" after she subtly hinted her new boyfriend Max George is better in bed than him.
In a series of posts on Twitter, Mark wrote: "I don't normally do this but after 3 yrs & someone who can't even be classed as an X (1 date) has used my name to get headlines again.
"Nothing but a kiss & tell girl with no class or dignity. It's low enough that youv been seeing someone for a month & already sold your story
"But leave my name out of it. #disgusting
"And for the record iv never got ready in front of you in my life which makes one of your comments an out right lie. So lying to earn money (sic)."
In an interview with The Sun on Sunday newspaper, which carried the headline "Max is more of a bloke than Mark, better looking and best in bed", Lucy is quoted as saying: "When I was with Mark, he got more beauty stuff done than I did.
"He was obsessed with his looks -- I'd be doing my make-up in the mirror and he'd come up behind me and start posing.
"I don't want anyone like that now -- it really is unattractive.
"Max couldn't be any more different and I find that really hot. It's appealing to me that he isn't into preening at all and is more of a bloke."
However, the 21-year-old boutiqueowner took to Twitter to defend herself.
In a series of tweets, she wrote: "Absolutely FUMING!!!!!!!!!!!!
"The headline NEVER came out of my mouth!!!
"& I said Essex boys in general r really groomed I WASN'T referring to mark at all!!!!
"I did an interview in good faith & about various things. I never said that headline & it's really upset me
"Fuming, upset, hungover, lost my phone .. Can my day get any worse!!! (sic)"
Lucy also made a dig at her ex-fiancé Mario Falcone in the interview, suggesting the lothario was too vain to date.
She said: "He even asked me to buy him a make-up set for Christmas."
But Mario hit back on Twitter, writing: "Thought it was nice that we cleared the air and were on good terms then she goes and does that! Disappointing!
"If your happy in your current relationship, I am happy for you... But enjoy that instead of going on about your past! (sic)."
He also appeared to agree with Mark's "kiss and tell girl" comment by retweeting the 'Take Me Out: The Gossip' co-star's tweet.
