Daredevil season 2 is right around the corner for Netflix consumers, and it looks as if fans of the Marvel television universe won't have to wait too long for Luke Cage to come to the streaming service, with actor Mike Colter revealing the first season of his titular series would be released on September 30.

Speaking in a new video interview, Colter says: "Daredevil premieres on March 18, and I will see the fans on September 30."

Already known to fans of Jessica Jones, we've seen Cage's journey in Hell's Kitchen, New York and will now follow him as he tries "to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem".

Soon though, "he is pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city - forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury."

As the third titular entry to the Marvel series on Netflix, the fourth, Iron Fist, is expected to debut at some point in 2017 ahead of a second season for Jessica Jones and a one-off series called The Defenders, which will see all four heroes team up.
