Mel B wants to return to 'X Factor'.

The Spice Girls singer is currently on the panel of 'America's Got Talent', which films in Los Angeles, but admitted she would relish a return to the ITV pop star search show, which she worked on in 2014.

Speaking on chat show 'Lorraine', she said: "I'd always love to be part of the 'X Factor' it was a great show.

"Is there a space? This happens every year, it's always up in the air. Simon Cowell's not daft he knows what he's doing."

40-year-old Mel's comments come after last year's judges Rita Ora, 25, Nick Grimshaw, 31 and 32-year-old Cheryl Fernandez-Versini all quit but she may be out of luck as it has been claimed that Simon has already found replacements.

Nicole Scherzinger - who sat on the judging panel in 2012 and 2013 - is now expected to reclaim her seat alongside show boss Simon.

And it seems the 37-year-old beauty isn't the only familiar face being brought back as Simon, 56, is also keen to bag Louis Walsh, 63, who was dropped last year, and Sharon Osbourne, 63, when the show returns to screens later this year.

A source told the MailOnline: "Rita had been in discussions [to return] but it became apparent she was no longer the automatic top option. Nicole Scherzinger was a huge success when she was on the 'X Factor' a few years ago and has long been part of the 'X Factor' family. She provided fun and entertainment and a huge personality to the show. She is the definite favourite to get the seat next to Simon."
