Miranda Hart has revealed that her eponymous BBC sitcom is to come to an end with two Christmas specials.
The comedian confirmed that the show is to conclude this year over the festive season, explaining to BBC Radio 2: "I'm actually coming to the end of the whole sitcom. This is the first time I'm saying it out loud, so it's a bit weird!
"I'm doing two Christmas specials but they are going to be the finale of the show, full stop."
Having earned four BAFTA nominations, four British Comedy Awards and three Royal Television Society awards for her time on the show, she explained that she's now producing a book as a way of thanking her fans.
"I wanted to do a book to celebrate the series and celebrate all the people who have supported it and watched it. So they get to see the scripts and some backstage gossip and all that sort of thing."
