Natalie Cassidy doesn't think her 'EastEnders' co-star Danny Dyer is "anything special" compared to the rest of the cast.

The 31-year-old actress, who plays Sonia Fowler in 'EastEnders', admits her co-star (Mick Carter) in the BBC One soap is "lovely", but doesn't think he is any different to the other guys on the show like Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell) or Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale).

She said: "He's the same as everybody else. Kellie [Bright (Linda Carter)], Danny, Maddy [Hill (Nancy Carter)], they're great additions to the show.

"Everyone is obsessed with Danny, but he's just a bloke.

"He's a lovely guy, he's no different to Steve McFadden or Adam Woodyatt, he's not like anything special.

"I can see that now in speech marks, 'Danny Dyer isn't anything special!' But it's true, and he'd be happy that I said that."

But Natalie was delighted to see Danny and his fellow Carters taste individual success at the National Television Awards (NTAs) last month and believes Maddy and co-star Himesh Patel, who pays Tamwar Masood, are both set for a bright future.

He added to heat magazine: "Look at all the gongs we won at the National Television Awards. It was Danny, it was Maddy, it was Best Soap - everyone really likes them, so of course we're unbelievably pleased for them.

"And for me, I've said from the beginning, Maddy is an incredible actress.

"Her and Himesh are my two favourites. They're geniuses."
