Emmerdale's Natalie J. Robb has teased that there are a lot more "twists and turns" to come for her murdering alter-ego Moira Barton over the next year or so.

The 43-year-old actress was stunned when she found out her character was responsible for the death of her arch-enemy Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney) and, although she's the culprit, she can breathe a sigh of relief because she's just signed a new one-year contract meaning she's got a little while before her secret is exposed.

Speaking on 'This Morning' on Friday (15.12.17), Natalie said: "Not at the moment but it's going to be a quite traumatic year. There's lots more twists and turns to come yet."

However, the farm girl - who has just given birth to a baby despite not knowing she was pregnant - may not end up behind bars and, instead, six-foot under as she's turned to drugs to help her sleep and returned to the dealer who sold her daughter Holly (Sophie Powles) the batch of heroin which ultimately killed her back in 2016.

She explained: "She goes back to Holly's dealer because sleep deprivation and having children is the one thing that's the worst thing in the world and it's a moment of madness because she's just so desperate. She needs something to help her sleep and help her forget but she's going to end up killing herself."

Bosses are remaining tight-lipped on what's to come but it's believed Moira's son Adam Barton - played by Adam Thomas - will go down for the murder.

A source said: "This whodunnit has been going on for months but just as viewers think they've come to a conclusion, the rug will be pulled out from under them. Last night saw Moira confess, but now the police are confided they've got the right suspect in Adam."
