The former 'Strictly Come Dancing' professionals - who have been married since 2013 - were recently forced to put their nationwide tour on hold when James suffered an agonising double hernia whilst training, and have now said they are taking the injury as a sign that they should slow down and start the next chapter of their lives together.

Ola, 35, said: "James and I have always said that we would really like to start a family, but the time has never been quite right before.

"When I left 'Strictly' two years ago I thought I was ready, but I was offered 'I'm A Celebrity', and that lead to other jobs I felt I couldn't turn down.

"There was always something, but at the same time having children was always in the back of my mind. It has been this missing part in our lives.

"So when we had to call off the tour this year, I thought it was a sign. I believe everything happens for a reason, and we're not getting any younger."

The couple have been together for almost 18 years, and Ola admits she is worried they might miss the chance to have a child if they wait any longer.

She said: "I didn't want to be one of those people who spends years working, but wakes up one day and thinks: 'Oh my God, I forgot. Now it's too late'."

Whilst James, 39, has insisted he would've started a family with Ola years ago if it wasn't for their roles on 'Strictly Com Dancing', and can't wait to finally have children of his own.

He told The Sun newspaper: "If we hadn't done Strictly we'd have probably had children 10 years ago, because it has always been something we've wanted. All of our friends have children, and we can't wait - fingers crossed - to join them.

"But there has always been something there to do. And as much as I was really gutted to cancel the tour, it has given us time to reconsider things. We haven't 100 per cent decided if we are going to cancel it altogether or postpone it.

"But put it this way, if Ola was to get pregnant now, not doing the tour wouldn't mean anything to us. We'd be beginning a new chapter of our lives. I'm so excited, even thinking about trying for a baby."
