The comedian has been rumoured to be a target for bosses of the Channel 5 reality show, and now he has admitted it's something he would consider - but only on his own terms.

As reported by the Daily Star newspaper, he joked: "I'd do it if I could go in, wind them all up, steal their fags and then leave before bedtime. That would be so much fun."

In the past, 'The Office' actor has described the reality show as "a zoo", and has even parodied it for his comedy programme 'Extras'.

In 2016, the star commented on the controversy that led to Christopher Biggins being removed from the house after he made offensive jokes in front of Jewish housemate Katie Waissel, and suggested his comments should have been aired.

He tweeted at the time: "Why put a warning on Big Brother saying some viewers may find it offensive & then evict someone for saying something that may be offensive? Does anyone know what Biggins actually said? (sic)"

In a statement following Christopher's exit from the house, Channel 5 said: "Since entering Big Brother, he has made a number of comments capable of causing great offence to housemates and the viewing public.

"Big Brother does not tolerate offensive language capable of causing widespread offence.

"Christopher Biggins has left the house."

Meanwhile, although Ricky would consider 'CBB' now, he previously admitted he used to "fear" fame.

He said: "When I was about to be famous, I feared it on a few levels. I feared it because I didn't want people to lump me in with those people who'd do anything to be famous.

"I didn't like the word 'celebrity'. I feared intrusion, you know? Make me famous, and suddenly you can go through my trash bins. I was very protective of my privacy."
