The Kaiser Chiefs frontman thinks it would be good research for the group's next album if he and his bandmates - Simon Rix, Andrew 'Whitey' White, Nick 'Peanut' Baines and Vijay Mistry - all signed up for a different reality show, but his own limited skill set doesn't leave him with many options.

He said: "Guys, if you had to go on a reality TV show, which would you choose? I'd do Jungle because I couldn't do anything that involves being a chef and I could never do 'Strictly' because my toes would hurt too much.

"This is my idea for our next album, we time it right and all go on a different show at the same time, reality TV works for people."

While Ricky is up for going in the jungle, Peanut and Whitey would both want to appear on 'Coach Trip', while Simon opted for 'RuPaul's Drag Race' and Vijay went for 'Come Dine With Me'.

Ricky previously served as a coach on two series of 'The Voice' and is confident he'd be able to win the show if he took part as a contestant.

Asked how far he thinks he'd have got as a contestant, he said: "I probably wouldn't have got into the edit... I don't know, I'd like to think I would have won the s**t out of it."

Between tours, the 'I Predict A Riot' singer used to help out in a friend's antique shop but he doesn't think that means he'd be very successful on 'Bargain Hunt'.

He told Q magazine: "I don't see the point of 'Bargain Hunt' because if you win, you probably only get about £9, but yes, I did help out. My gran was an antiques dealer, but I'm no Lovejoy."
