Rita Ora could be set to join the X Factor panel after she had a business meeting with Simon Cowell.
The singer has set tongues wagging after she met the 53-year-old at his mansion in Beverly Hills.
A spokesman for Simon told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Rita was not there for dinner on Wednesday night. She was there for a meeting and there were business colleagues with her."
The pair have been in talks about a possible role on the series following her appearance as a guest judge alongside Tulisa Contostavlos, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh on the UK talent contest in May last year when she turned up to oversee auditions at The O2 Arena in London.
However, she refused Simon's offer last year as she needed to focus on her music career and was concerned she wouldn't be able to fully commit if she accepted the position.
She previously said: "There were talks. But if I were to take on that role it would have to be at a point when I could give it my full attention.
"I have so much to accomplish first and it's kind of a full-time job being on 'X Factor'. It's not like a nine to five. It's constant, for months.
"I love it but if I was to take on a full-time role it would be at a point when I'm loads of albums in."
