The 30-year-old reality star - who won the show in 2007 when it was still on Channel 4, hosted by Davina McCall - launched into a massive rant on social media yesterday (24.05.18), branding host Emma Willis and 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side's Rylan rubbish presenters.

And now the 29-year-old TV star has responded, saying he is shocked by Brian's comments, whilst defending his love for the show and Emma's talent.

He wrote on Twitter: "Regarding the Brian story I gotta say it's quite unusual. Always been a massive supporter of Brian and I thought him of me? As below. Not sure what's changed in a couple of years but sincerely hope he is well ... BUT I do need to say another thing

"Hve a view on me as host by all means but DONT EVER question my loyalty or love for BBUK I adore the show and have done also since 2000 We all love Davina but Emma is an amazing host also and always has been.I wish him nothing but the best but never question my love for BB. (sic)"

Brian had claimed Emma and Rylan "can't present".

In a long rant on Twitter, he wrote: "I still can't believe that @channel5_tv are bringing back Big Brother's Little Brother. @bbuk It's not even wanting to be nasty, it's like they both need to go. This decade, we've got a new breed of presenters, people who can't present! (sic)"

Taking aim at Rylan, Brian tweeted: "When #Rylan got the 'Big Brother's Bit On The Side' job at @bbuk I understood it because he had a high-profile from @TheXFactor and #CBB & #BBUK needed the publicity and his fame. But if #BBUK is going to get axed, we've got to say now, you're not good enough! (sic)"

He added: "This is not being nasty, 2 say your not good enough when the show is on the verge of being axed! Some people really know this show & the format and you and #EmmaWillis don't! (sic)"

Davina fronted 'Big Brother' from 2000 to 2010 when the show ended on Channel 4.

Brian Dowling was then handed the reins when Channel 5 picked up the programme in 2011, but he was replaced by Emma in 2013 and she has hosted the show and celebrity version ever since.

Rylan took over as host of sister show 'Big Brother's Bit On The Side' in 2013.

The twitter tirade comes after reports surfaced that Channel 5 plan to axe 'Bit on the Side' and bring back 'Big Brother's Little Brother', which ran on Channel 4 from 2001-2010.
