The former 'Gogglebox' star was keen to catch up on some shut-eye after the show's series finale at Universal Studios, Florida, on Saturday (07.04.18), but she got a bit more than 40 winks and woke up 12 hours later.

She wrote: "When you go to bed for 7pm for a nap and wake up 12 hours late well think I've definitely missed the wrap party (sic)"

Despite missing the bash, the 27-year-old TV presenter admitted she would remember shooting the show in the US "forever" and was "grateful" to have been part of the programme.

She posted a collage of Instagram pictures from her week in the US, and added the caption: "Snapshots of this amazing week!! Memories I'll remember forever and I feel so lucky and grateful to have (sic)"

Scarlett and fellow series regular Stephen Mulhern joined show host Declan Donnelly, who fronted the programme alone as his presenting partner Ant McPartlin is taking a break to seek help after being charged with drink driving last month.

Dec admitted the finale - for which 250 competition winners were flown out to Florida - was "tinged with sadness" because Ant wasn't there.

After the show finished, he told the live audience members: "Thanks for all the love and support, it's been a series tinged with... well..."

As he struggled to finish the sentence, an audience member shouted: "We miss Ant."

Dec replied: "Yes, we do, we do. It's tinged with sadness. Can you all give a one round of applause for Ant who is at home."

The audience then started to clap, and the clearly-moved star said: "Thank you so much, I know he will appreciate that a great, great deal."
