Brand new footage from The Walking Dead's seventh season premiere has been revealed at New York Comic Con, featuring three and a half minutes of gut-wrenching visuals after Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) made his kill with his barbed wire baseball bat, Lucille.

"I'm going to kill you. Not today. Not tomorrow. But I'm going to kill you," Rick (Andrew Lincoln) promises Negan, who seems amused at the broken man's tenacity.

Teasing Rick after the kill, Negan asks him if he's got a 'right hand man' in the people in his group that are still breathing, or if he killed them just moments before.

He then gets his own right hand man, Simon, to retrieve Rick's hatchet, before dragging Rick into one of the campervans to deliver some sort of punishment. Exactly what that punishment is remains to be seen, but fans of the comic books are making their predictions.

In the comics, it's the Governor who deals out a harsh punishment to Rick by chopping off his right hand. By mentioning a right hand man and taking Rick's hatchet, could we be seeing the punishment doled out by someone different on the small screen?
