The former 'Hollyoaks' star has had somewhat of a tough year over the past 12 months after she met her on/off boyfriend Jeremy McConnell, with whom she has four-month-old son Caben-Albi, in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house in January 2016, but it looks like things are finally picking up for the brunette beauty as she has been asked to work on the spin-off show alongside the current series.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "This is just what Steph needs. She is so excited to be returning to TV after a rocky 12 months.

"The 'Big Brother' team have been really supportive of her and she is sure to shine."

The 24-year-old actress' new role will see her dishing out relationship advice to contestants and she's certainly qualified considering her turbulent relationship with the heavily-inked Irish hunk.

The news was seemingly confirmed by Jeremy - who now lives with Stephanie and their son at her home in Liverpool - last night (05.06.17) when he retweeted the article with the caption: "proud."

Her decision to take on the job comes just weeks after it was revealed her explosive autobiography had been scrapped after she edited out the details of her romance with Jeremy following their reunion.

A source said at the time: "With just weeks to go before the autobiography is due out, Steph's life and relationship with Jeremy has dramatically improved ...

"With the June deadline looming there was very little juicy detail left, and Steph simply doesn't have the time to rewrite everything, so the publishers decided to scrap it."

Meanwhile, 'Big Brother' - the civilian version of the show - returned to screens last night and Stephanie won't be the only star to join the spin-off, hosted by Rylan Clark-Neal, as Trisha Goddard will also be on the panel as a regular, while Sinitta will be a fashion correspondent.
