The 'Hollyoaks' actress has admitted she was absolutely devastated she was the second contestant to get the chop from the skating show after she failed to impress Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean in the skate-off against Lemar last weekend.

And, although she didn't get to show the nation the skills she'd picked up for very long, she feels lost because training had become part of her every day routine.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "I am going to have a hole in my life now.

"We started training at the end of October, I had a full time schedule with 'Hollyoaks' and I'm also a single mum of two so for me it has been really tough but rewarding at the same time. It has become part of my regular routine and to not continue doing that anymore. I wanted to learn new tricks and more impressive lifts."

The 39-year-old star has made no secret of the fact she thought she should have been saved in the skate off because she didn't stumble - unlike Lemar - and now her partner Sylvain Longchambon has accused Torvill and Dean of breaking the rules.

Sylvain - who has been a professional on the show on and off since 2011 - explained: "The rules are if there's a stumble in the skate off then if the other couple skate well then they should be out. That is the rule of the skate off. This happened five years ago with Pamela Anderson. She had a stumble and she was voted out.

"They gave Steph better marks on her main routine and he stumbled in the skate off and they chose him over her. Maybe his skate off was stronger but it is hard to understand when you have two judges that pick you and other two don't."
