Actors Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie have both denied the rumours suggesting there could be a second series of The Night Manager, after the first proved to be a huge success for BBC One.

Starring as Johnathan Pine, Hiddleston took on the role of the former soldier turned secret agent and set the James Bond rumour mill alight once more.

The Sunday Mirror reports Hiddleston said of a second series: "As it stands, Pine exists for six hours in a miniseries. The story feels complete. I know the rumours about it extending, but none of that is real."

Laurie added: "We are done. It's based on a novel, we've got to the end of the novel and John le Carre has yet to write another novel. So in cold practical terms, no, we're done."

The Night Manager is available now on both DVD and Blu-ray and will make its US debut on AMC on April 19.
