The 49-year-old broadcaster stripped off on national television with fellow stars Coleen Nolan, Megan McKenna and Michelle Heaton in March, in a risqué dance routine choreographed by Ashley Banjo to raise awareness of breast cancer.

Victoria says it took everything to complete the show, but their friendship and the fact they were all "united" got them through the "nerve-wracking" experience.

Speaking at the Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday (13.05.18), she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It was really nerve-wracking, it really was for all of us.

"But because over a period of time we got to know each other really well, we became really good friends, had a lot of laughs and we shared a few tears, and in the end we knew we were all going to do it because we were all united, we were a team so we did it."

The award-winning journalist says that stripping off has not changed the way she feels about her body, but she's proud of herself for taking part as it led to hundreds of women getting themselves tested for the disease.

She said: "It hasn't helped with my insecurities but I'm glad I did it because the whole point of that programme was for women to check themselves, and thousands and thousands of women did, and looking at the messages that me, Coleen and Michelle got, I feel that it was mission accomplished."

Victoria admitted the stars didn't ever imagine they would get the response they did.

She said: "It really was overwhelming, we had no idea what the reaction would be but it made us feel quite emotional because women were saying, you made us feel empowered and liberated, if you got through it we can get through it, and all those kind of things, so it was really worth it."
