The blonde beauties - as well as Liam Gatsby, Tommy Mallet and two crew members - were left battered and bruised after they were targeted by a group of thugs outside a McDonald's on the island following a boozy night out at the Papagayos beach club.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Starving cast and crew headed to McDonald's before getting taxis back to the hotel.

"While waiting for their food, the men got aggressive and started shouting in Spanish, before a full-on fight broke out once they left the restaurant. The girls were screaming after being laid into by the thugs as Tommy and Liam tried to fight back. Police were called and the thugs ran off, but everyone involved was left badly shaken."

The cast had been protected by a security team for the majority of their trip but, on this occasion, were forced to fend for themselves as they left the nightclub for some food.

A spokesperson for the show explained: "Our cast and crew were subject to an unprovoked attack following a night out in Tenerife.

"Thankfully the group were able to get to the safety of the hotel with no one seriously injured. The team are now safely back in the UK."

The reality TV stars flew back to their hometown of Essex last week, while their co-star Gemma Collins was forced to spend some time in a hospital on the Spanish island.

The busty blonde was refused permission to fly home with her friends last Thursday (02.02.17) - her birthday - because doctors were concerned about her health.

The 36-year-old star hasn't divulged why she was rushed to hospital and forced to spend a week on bed rest but she was given the go-ahead to jet home over the weekend.
