The 47-year-old TV presenter - who has kids Woody, 17, and Nelly, eight, with her estranged husband, DJ Norman Cook - is undertaking a 350-mile bike ride for Sport Relief in memory of Billy, and she's revealed the experience of losing him has caused her to change her approach to parenting.

She shared: "It sounds obvious and so simple, but I've learnt that the biggest single act that we can all do to help someone who is really in trouble is to find the courage to ask that person how they are feeling.

"If you don't ask, you can't help. I will also be encouraging my own family and kids to talk about their feelings and hopefully the next generation will not feel trapped."

The money raised by Sport Relief is being used to help organisations like Harmless, which supports people who are at risk of self-harm or suicide.

But Zoe has warned that more funding is needed in order to really tackle the problem.

She wrote in the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Action and money is still needed. I was reassured to see the work Harmless are doing, as well as hearing of other places where incredible support is given as I travelled through the UK on my challenge.

"Yet, it is quite frightening and heartbreaking that there are simply not enough projects like this. The truth is that we need more."
