David Beckham will star in Only Fools and HorsesRakuten's Play.com have revealed that Only Fools and Horses has become the most popular retro TV series of all time, knocking Rowan Atkinson's Mr. Bean off the top spot.
A New Year poll set up by the company asked fans on Facebook to vote for their favourite retro show, and Only Fools and Horses received almost 50% more votes than any of the other nominated series, including The Young Ones and Open All Hours.
Only Fools and Horses will return as part of BBC One's Sport Relief in March, in a sketch including David Beckham, but whether a full series will follow after that is still up in the air.
All top five retro series chosen by fans turned out to be comedies:
1. Only Fools and Horses
2. The Young Ones
3. Bottom
4. Open All Hours
5. Red Dwarf
This proved that old comedy still does the trick and impresses audiences of today.
