Big Brother; Celebrity Hijack House - Day 21

23-01-2008 14:33

After learning that she was to face the public vote, Emilia and her sidekick Jeremy indulged in some joking at John's expense as Jeremy asked the circus performer: "What if they ask you to choose someone to take with you?" A mischievous Emilia smiled and said: "I'd take Latoya with me, bring her down!" Once they had finished laughing at the prospect, Jeremy then suggested: "You should take John." On hearing this, Emilia started to laugh and gave Jeremy a high-five.

He continued to rib the Scotsman and the fact that John has immunity from all nominations. "Imagine you did that!" Then in a dodgy Scottish accent, Jeremy imitated him: "Noooooo, it wasn't meant to be like this. I was meant to win the 50 grand!"

However it wasn’t all fun and games between the usually tactile pair yesterday as a argument reached a complete stand off Emilia and Jeremy had an argument which resulted in a stand-off between the two after Emilia tried to explin to Jeremy what she thought of her being up for eviction this week.

However, the seemingly innocent conversation spiralled into an argument after Jeremy failed to grasp what Emilia was trying to tell him. She said: "If you're not intelligent enough to understand then I'm not going to explain it to you."

The racing driver took exception to his and told Emilia: "Don't question my intelligence, because I am more intelligent than you. Anyway it has nothing to do with intelligence it is to do with a point of view." At this point Emilia had had enough and stormed off to the hot tub to sit and dip her feet.

Jeremy tried to defend himself to Amy by saying: "To say something like that is to belittle me immediately. As soon as you get in an argument and belittle someone then that's to do with her insecurity." To which Amy teased: "Are you sure you don't fancy her? That would explain why you have these huge arguments."

Emilia then went to the bathroom where John was sitting on his own but as he tried to placate the circus performer, Emilia showed no signs of calming down. She raged: "I don't even want to sleep next to him, I don't want to see his face. He was wagging his finger as well. I do that to my dog, to make him understand because he's an animal. It's a fucking command, don't fucking command me."

Jeremy has told Amy he is embarrassed that Big Brother is construing his relationship with Emilia as more than just friendship.

Speaking to the artist early yesterday evening the racing driver denied he has any romantic feelings for Emilia, saying: "She's a good looking girl, but it's just not like that."

Amy said she understood, and pointed out that Big Brother "just wants to create relationships". She said they had aspirations for romance between Jade and Anthony, Latoya and Nathan, Emilia and Jeremy, and now Calista and Anthony.

Later on Jeremy decided to takle the problem head on and speak to Emilia. Firstly he apologisedfor upsetting her earlier in the day by saying he had simply been trying to express his surprise that Latoya is up for eviction, since he thought she had lots of friends in the house.

He then explained that he had actually thought that he would be facing the public vote again, and was "really sorry" if he had put his point across in a way that upset her. "You know I don't want you to leave," he said. This softened Emilias hardened exterior and the pair continued to discuss their relationship long into the night.

Bridges were also repaired when Amy tried to patch up her relationship with Nathan following days of unease after last weeks celebrity hijacker Chris Moyles told Nathan to confess his feelings to the housemate he is most attracted to. He subsequently informed Amy that he fancied her, upsetting Latoya in the process. Since then, the pair have barely interacted.

"The only reason I was awkward was that I didn't want to hurt you," said the artist. To which Nathan replied, "I was just joking, I don't have feelings like that for anyone in the house." Seemingly oblivious to Nathans reply amy continued: "I wouldn't want you to feel like I'm snobbish or have a superiority complex," she continued.

During later conversation with Latoya, Nathan confided that he is worried what his friends will think of his appearance in the Big Brother house. The pair were lying on the sofas in the bathroom when Nathan decided to get things off his chest, but Latoya was quick to reassure him that his true friends would like him regardless of anything he does during the competition. She said: "Friends will like you... they'll understand there's editing that goes on."

Calista spent most of last night complaining that she didn't feel well, although it seems the real cause of her illness might have been a little bit too much booze! It all began around 9.30 when, during a conversation she was having with Jay, she suddenly stood up and announced she needed to go to bed. Then, having spent an hour or so curled up in her duvet, she decided to have a bath. Sitting amidst the bubbles with her bottom lip visibly drooping, she complained: "I don't feel too good."

"It's because you've been drinking beer," remarked Anthony, in an attempt to reassure her who told her she should go outside and get some fresh air to make her feel better. To which Calista appeared to agree - she unplugged the bath and set off outside. She then got back into bed and was quiet for a while, until she overheard Anthony, Latoya and John arguing over chocolate, when she piped up and said: "Chocolate? I want chocolate."
