Dancing with the stars turns up a surprise elimination
How it would unfolded after a pretty even performances from all the contestants was always going to be interesting and so it proved following the public voting.
With only Mya outstanding on Monday the it was impossible to pick out an obvious couple for elimination, it would come down to who commanded the most loyal fan base. First to discover they were potentially in the bottom two was Joanna Krupa, who added to her possibility of the boot by tripping and the lack lustre Aaron Carter, who has been relatively poor for a number of weeks.
Natalie Coughlin, was next to be marked for possible elimination and was joined by last weeks star Melissa Joan Hart, Then host Tom Bergeron announced that Aaron and Natalie were the bottom two.
.
The judges expressed disappointment at who was in the bottom two, sentimental Len even saying he was "heartbroken" and being critical of the viewers for being insincere, back to Tom and the final blow... it was Natalie Coughlin going home with partner Alec Mazo - a very surprising result based on the early weeks of competition.
The star of Monday turned out to be Donny Osmond and he was presented with the encore dance, he had received the highest score so far this series on Monday night for his Argentine tango.
Norah Jones, was this weeks guest and performed her new single accompanied by a strange concoction of dancers and choreography her second rendition of her old favourite "Come Away With Me," which worked better for dancers Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskaya sultry accompany.
The next part of the show hardly lived up to the tribute to Michael Jackson hype with a look back at some of the dances that have been done on the show to Jackson songs over the years, unfortunately ballroom dancing is not Michael Jackson so the was a bit of conflict of style, but none the less it was entertaining.
