Dancing with The Stars see the fanal four pairs fighting for a place in the finals

Dancing With The Stars - The semi finals. With four couples remaining the judges would be looking for near perfection from the under pressure remaining contestants.

The celebrities this season can be split into two types this season skilled dancers - Joanna Krupa and Mya, and entertainers Donny Osmond, and Kelly Osbourne. Monday night though brought about bigger challenges three routines for each pair a first in the shows history.

Donny Osmond struggled last week and in the semi's would need to pull out a performance that would impress the judges but Donny's first dance a tango suffered a disaster. Footwork errors compounded by Kym Johnson's shoe getting caught in, and ultimately ripping the hem of her dress. Len Goodman's verdict - a catastrophe, really summed it up.

Their second round had Donny and Kym dancing a samba, desperately  attempting to recover from their 'desperate' tango. The samba is it has to be said a 'Donny' dance so he was back to his entertaining self suitably attired in a shiny purple outfit. This performance found favour with the judges though Carrie Ann still labelled it "sloppy."

Donny and Kym's final routine was a Jitterbug as each pair were to dance their “knockout dance, the dance they had prepared in the event of a dance-off. The couples were given limited control over the production of the routine. Donny and Kym's jitterbug again another natural Donny dance especially as this effort was served with extra 'cheese'. was not the most difficult routine to work but with Donny able to exercise his natural showmanship, the judges praised his recovery the tango.

Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough first routine was the Viennese waltz this played to the former models grace and elegance that has served her well throughout the season, The dance executed to Leonard Cohens Hallelujah was typically smooth stylish and simple. Bruno was the only judge with any criticism Carrie Ann and Len loved the performance.

Joanna and Derek’s second dance was a cha-cha-cha packed with sensuality although the fringed pants were a no-no. Joanna turned in a stunning almost perfect performance though Derek's choreography was lacking why he persists to include  the move in which he bends Joanna back and bounces her up and down by the back of her neck, wrong focus. Still, it was a good routine, and well received by the  judges.

Joanna and Derek knock-out dance was the salsa, again packed with sensuality you could almost imagine being sat in a dingy South American bar during this routine.  Derek's repeat of the neck bouncing  routine though failed to impress Carrie Ann, but Joanne once again pulled the routine up.

Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel have been an enigma this season brilliant on moment disastrous the next, but last week both scored well. This week, Kelly took on the rumba, a dance that looks easy but will catch out the unwary. Kelly it must be said is graceful, so the rumba suited her. Bruno though pointed out that the rumba was a sexy dance and the performance lacked "eroticism,"

Kelly and Louis second effort was the quickstep. Kelly is always nervous with fast dances, and it was unsurprising to see worry and tension on her face and a couple of footwork errors during her performance. The judges were impressed with her improvements and praised her, Len said it went "totally beyond expectations."

Kelly and Louis knock out choice the cha-cha-cha. The dance was designed to showcase strengths and hide weaknesses well executed the performance  was strong.

Mya got the season’s first perfect score with three tens last week, could she maintain this level. Their waltz was not their best dance, but it was delivered without effort with style and beauty, on form she is a pleasure to watch. Len, her harshest critic in the past had no complaints, Bruno even offered up another 10, putting Mya and Dmitry in the lead after the first round.

Mya and Dmitry's second offering a salsa was packed with energy, and her solo was the only notable one of the four that the celebrities performed in the Latin round. Len was mesmerised... by her hips Mya and Dmitry danced off with another perfect 30 points, getting a perfect score for the second week in a row.

Finally Mya and Dmitry. with a 'knockout' cha-cha-cha, fast skilled, stunning footwork, poise and stance they again caught the judges attention with just 1 point away from a third perfect Carrie Ann picked up a fault.

So who is in trouble going into Tuesday night, Donny, maybe but his fan support has here now. four points ahead Kelly Osbourne a very small lead. Kelly then is three points behind Joanna, any of those three could be going home though its likely between Donny and Kelly. Prediction Goodnight Donny though popular Kelly displays that vulnerability that pulls in extra votes.
