Dancing With The Stars The last three couple battle it out for the dancing crown

Dancing With The Stars The Finale - Donny Osmond, Kelly Osbourne and Mya. The final is a straight battle between Donny the showman,  feel good Kelly and a dancer Mya.

Donny Osmond and Kelly Osbourne are in reality average dancers with little to choose between the two but when it comes down to natural dancing ability Mya is in a class of her own and add to that a consistency that has never faltered

The schedule for the first show was each couple Mya and Dmitry, Donny and Kym Johnson, and Kelly and Louis van Amstel would performed three dances. The combination of their scores from those dances then would be added to the viewer votes and a final set of judges' scores for a performance on Tuesday night's finale with the top scorer becoming the king or queen of the dance floor.

Kelly and Louis were first on dancing an Argentine tango. Performance wise Kelly produced some skilful footwork and managed to inject some real drama in her performance. Carrie Ann Inaba judged it to have the "intimacy" required. The judges scored the routine with  26 a high score for a performance that lacked the skills for a finalist.

Mya and Dmitry were next up with a Paso doble. Dancing to "We Will Rock You," whether it was nerves or just the choreography their routine for the first time this season fell short of the usual level Mya and Dimitry produce. Surprisingly the loved it and gave it an undeserving perfect 30.

Donny and Kym suffered a clothing malfunction last week and looked to return with a cha-cha-cha. As is often with Donny his performance was a bit flaky but the showman managed to sell it despite a couple of minor errors, The judges scored them one more than Kally with three nines.

The second round was a sequence with all three couples performing the same choreography side by side, this would enable the judges to score them with a direct comparison. The judges were not to give each couple a score, instead they had to rank the three couples.

The Megamix as this section was called included segments of Viennese waltz, samba and jive. Kelly struggled towards the end falling behind with her timing Donny hammed it up a touch too much but overall the section went to form The judges scored Mya and Dmitry first, Donny and Kym second, and Kelly and Louis third. That netted Mya 30 points, Donny 28, and Kelly 26, with Mya opening up a lead.

The third round was the freestyle. Kelly and Louis chose "I Will Survive." Louis came up with a bag of tricks. It was obvious Kelly clearly loved the dance, and even when a lift deposited Ms Osbourne on the floor, she still kept her infectious smile, remaining cool and focused. Apart from that one mistake this was clearly Kelly's best dance so far and although the mistakes could not be ignored the three 8 were a little harsh, the rock chick must now look to a surge in public voting if she is to win.

Mya said earlier she was up for a challenge in her freestyle and Dmitry choreographed an upbeat number from "Hairspray." The outcome though again fell short and the so called risk factor was certainly missing. Technically the couple produced a fine routine but where was the drama the flair and the spectacle... The judges though seemed to ignore all these factors maybe Mya's hips hypnotised Len, who knows, they scored Mya three nines...

Donny and Kym went for a showcase Broadway number that saw Donny enter the arena in tails, going on to include Broadway trick Donny could muster. The judges were so thrilled by the routine and gave the pair three straight tens. When compared to Kelly's routine Donny and Kym's performance lagged behind in skill and was one of the least challenging routines on show, with that in mind how they Len & co awarded 30 to 24 was beyond belief Kelly was on the end of a voting travesty.

Winners and Losers: Mya is two points ahead of Donny, and Donny is nine points ahead of Kelly. In all reality Kelly is out of the running so it is a two horse race between Donny and Mya and who the public like the best.

As a dance contest Mya should be way out front but this is not the case. This seasons Dancing With The Stars could see for the first time the least skilful dancer as the winner... strange thought!
