Aliona Vilani has said that she always knew this latest series of Strictly Come Dancing would be her last, no matter how her time on the show came to an end.
The professional dancer won the series last weekend with Jay McGuiness, and took to Twitter today (December 22) to explain her decision.
Joining the show in 2007, Aliona won the show with Harry Judd in 2011 before her win this year with Jay.
Strictly Come Dancing will return on Christmas Day with an all-star line-up holiday special airing on BBC One.
