As lead singer and front man of the band The Ordinary Boys Preston soon become more famous for falling in love in the Big Brother house with faux-celebrity and eventual winner Chantelle.
The band took off once Preston entered the house. The single "Boys Will Be Boys" moved from number 33 to number 3 in four weeks. After Big Brother they also had a huge hit with “I Luv You” rumored to be written about Chantelle. In early 2008, lead singer Preston confirmed the band's end. But in June 2007, Preston and Chantelle announced that they were splitting up after 10 months of marriage. They released a statement saying "After much soul-searching and tearful discussions we have sadly decided to end our marriage."
