Alan Carr is backing Michelle Visage to walk away with the Celebrity Big Brother win this January.

The chat show host revealed he's rooting for the Drag Race judge to win the Channel 5 reality series because he believes she's being her true self in the house.

Speaking in London last night at the National Television Awards, Alan said: "CBB is addictive! I have just been on holiday to Costa Rica, I came back and just stayed in watching it eight hours back to back.

"We went out for dinner with Michelle Visage and she is so lovely. What you see in there is what she is like in real life. I think she's amazing and I love 'RuPaul's Drag Race'."

Alan was less complimentary of American gossip blogger Perez Hilton however, and referred to Michelle's comments of Perez setting the gay community "back 50 years".

"He's an idiot. I've dragged the gay community back 20 years, f**k off that's my job! He's not doing himself any favours.

"The trouble is you can't get other people's personalities because he's being such a..."

Meanwhile the comedian admits he'd love to interview Beyoncé on his show, but worries it'd be as awkward as his time with Britney Spears.

"I think Britney was just shy that's the trouble but Beyonce's a whole different thing isn't she? She'll be fine giving it [sings the lyrics and does the dance to 'Single Ladies']."
