Rylan Clark thinks Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes would "smother each other in their sleep" if they were to appear on 'Celebrity Big Brother' together next month.

The 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side' host, 27, has joked the infamous house would turn into a brutal murder scene if the loveable couple, who wed in 2010, were to spend three weeks trapped inside four walls with one another.

He explained: "As my telly mum and dad on 'This Morning', I can tell you that I think they'd kill each other!

"They would actually smother each other in their sleep. They have rows on 'This Morning', never mind 'Big Brother'! We do usually chuck in Eamonn to do a task and he loves it. Ruth's the opposite - she loves the show but she hates doing it herself. I'd like to put them in for one day and night to see how they get on. Viewers would love it."

However, 'Celebrity Big Brother' host Emma Willis, 39, believes the funny pair, who co-present 'This Morning', would prove a "fascinating" watch because they're in love.

She added: "They are my ultimate couple to go in there. I know them quite well personally, and I've been around them as a couple, and I love watching them in a social situation.

"I can't stop watching them on television. I find their dynamics as a couple quite fascinating. People say, 'Ooh, they're always having a pop at each other', but they absolutely adore one another. They are so in love."

Meanwhile, 'Celebrity Big Brother' will return to TV screens across the nation on January 5, 2016, at 9pm on Channel 5.
