The 'Only Way is Essex' star was left heartbroken in December when her beloved mum, who also starred on the show, passed away following a short illness, but she has admitted, although she's sadly gone, she believes Nanny Pat is sending subtle messages to her beyond the grave.

She explained: "I think she still sends me little messages. Everywhere I look there are little feathers. When she did pass away, I was paranoid and thinking, 'My sisters have found a feather' and I wasn't finding anything and they just said, 'Do you know what? Just let it come' and every minute now, I'm finding feathers everywhere.

"I'll clear photo of her and then I'll clear another cupboard out and there's another photo of her but I've got her little pillow in the kitchen and I just speak to her every day like, 'You alright mum?' and I keep touching her picture."

Nanny Pat - who had just turned 80 when she died - was laid to rest last month in her hometown of Essex as her friends, co-stars and family gathered round to pay their respects and say their final goodbyes.

And it wasn't until that night that Carol - who has children Mark and Jessica Wright - realised she'd really lost her mum.

Speaking on 'Loose Women' today (25.02.16), she said: "I think it hit me when we got back from the funeral on that night, Jess came home to stay with me because she knew I was in a terrible state and that night, I sobbed on the floor, like a baby, because I couldn't believe I'd lost my mum ... and then every day I just kept crying and I'd miss her more."
