As Eric becomes the latest celebrity to leave the jungle, we’ve got the latest update from the camp right here for you.

MORNING STORY - ERIC’S FINAL PREDICTION

As the final four spent their last breakfast together, numbers man Eric speculated that it would be between Ashley and him who actually left, indicating it would be his last day in the jungle.

Charlie told him she hoped he would stay. “Will you miss me in the last couple of days?  That’s nice, it’s a compliment thank you.  I think the final three will be minus me.”

Ashley was happy to make it her last day. “I hope this show has done enough to help me become known as Ashley Roberts now.”

“Instead of one of the puddy cats?” asked Eric, “It’s time to move on girl”

“Hopefully some of the hard-core PC fans will stick around and vote for me.  Kimberley is my girl and she’ll hopefully be supporting me and I hope Nicole is as well. We’ve been through so much together so I’m sure they are supporting me.”

She said to Charlie: “I wonder how Nicole’s reaction has been, she’ll be in London doing the X Factor, I feel like today is my day so I’ll be shocked if I’m in the final three but it will be awesome.”

The campmates said farewell to Eric and Charlie said she “did have a special little friendship with Eric”.

Ashley added:  “He’s a force to be reckoned with, he has always got something crazy to say, poking at the fire and telling me what to do. I feel like Dad’s gone. We are the three musketeers, I am one of the musketeers and I’m feeling pretty stoked.”

As David cuddled the girls he said: “I’ve got my twins, I am in the final three, I’m surprised, very pleasantly surprised. That’s insane, I can’t believe that, I thought my booty ass would wear pretty thin, real fast.”

Ashley suggested: “Maybe your ass is the highlight and they want to keep those brown cheeks in here a little longer.”

Charlie also said she was thrilled to bits but couldn't believe she’d got through it.

PRE TRIAL - DAVID’S SUPERMAN

Charlie announced that today’s trial was called Well of Hell and David said he didn’t feel it was something for a lady to do so volunteered.

Ashley agreed: “As the ladies went out on the last trial maybe it is the male’s time, so go out and kick ass.  I feel confident about it, I know that David is going to go out there and be superman and swipe all three stars and the three musketeers will eat fantastically tonight.”

Charlie and Ashley went with him to the bridge. ”After all the fun we had yesterday I think it is about time we got down to the nitty gritty, we got down and dirty and cockroachy, so bring it on.”

BUSHTUCKER TRIAL - WELL OF HELL

Former heavyweight boxing champion David Haye had his hand dramatically gnawed by a bandicoot during the Well of Hell trial.

The Hayemaker met up with Ant and Dec at the trials area and said they had obviously saved the best trial for last.  Asked how he felt to be in the final three David said: “It feels really good, I didn’t expect it to last this long in a million years but now I’m here I’m just going to embrace it and look forward to the sludge, raw meat and maggots and all that lovely stuff you’ve got for me.  I’ve gone this far, 22 days in the jungle, now I’m here I’ll go as far as I can.

“I’m looking forward to seeing Eric again it will probably be at the bar, he called it again this morning, so anytime you are looking to put a bet on run it past him first.”

Ant joked he’d be getting the lottery numbers off him in future.  Dec outlined the trial - which saw David climb inside a bucket and be lowered down to a whole new level. As he descended it would get increasingly dark until he was submerged in complete darkness and either side of him would be holes in the wall containing stars.

The stars were different colours and split in half, David had to find both halves of the same colour to for a meal.  With six half stars up for grabs, it meant a possible three meals to be won with only 10 minutes to complete the trial.

David entered the well and the klaxon started the countdown, he found the first hole which contained yabbies, “I felt some sharp little claws like some sort of lobster” to find his first half a star, next in among scorpions which were clinging to his hand, he found another half a star.

He was lowered to the next level and the well was covered shrouding him in darkness as he put his hand in with a little crocodile that he gently moved out of the way to get another half star. The next hole contained what he thought was a little cute rat that he said “felt quite heavy, he won't move around, he really doesn’t want to move.”

Suddenly the bandicoot attacked David’s hand. As mealworms were being dropped over the boxer’s head, he said: “It’s really going to work on my hand what the hell is that, I’ve got bite marks, thanks for that.”

He then asked to be moved down to the next level having successfully picked up both half stars. Holding the guide ropes he said he was happy to go on “ hopefully the critters don’t get any worse than that one. “

As he put his hand in among hundreds of cockroaches, he realised there wasn’t a star in there and complained about the ‘maggots’ that were down the back of his neck.  He put his hand in the next hole that contained a large snake.  “I tried to be gentle with that critter and he just didn’t wouldn’t listen, hello snakey snake please don't bite me,” as he retrieved another half star.

Looking for two more stars he was plunged into even darker depths to the final level where he put his hand in among green ants and found another half star. “Let’s hope the last hole hasn’t got something with sharp teeth” as he pulled out the final half while cockroaches were poured over him.

“I’m glad it was me and not the girls who did this, they wouldn't have liked this one bit, they wouldn’t have liked that ferret or whatever it was that bit me, plus I have a neck and back that’s been bitten up by cockroaches and worms.”

Dec revealed that he’d done the trial in just over five minutes and explained a bandicoot had actually bitten him. “He didn’t like you in his hole did he?  He has had a good lunch on that.”

“He did, but it was a small price to pay for dinner, “ said David. “I knew you were going to crank it up today and make it hard and putting that bandicoot in there was definitely a good start.”

“Food is in short supply right now and with Charlie as the new head chef I had to bring something home for the girls. It’s going to be strange doing the cooking so we’ve upgraded Charlie to head chef.”

POST TRIAL - DAVID KEEPS THE GIRLS HAPPY

David conceded that Well of Hell was a lot harder than the last few he has attempted.  “Getting bitten by a bandicoot wasn’t pleasant, he really gnawed on my hand but I had to get the star so I just grinded through, there was no way I was going to go back to camp with anything less than six stars as I’ve got to keep the girls happy and they will be over the moon.”

Charlie said she hoped he would get a trial “that would freak him out a bit, he seems to take them all in his stride, he will have got all three stars, he won’t come out without them. “

Ashley was pleased she hadn’t had to attempt the trial as she heard him tell of his adventure. “They put a lid over the top so you can’t see anything, eight holes with eight critters in each hole. One attacked my hand which was fun, it grabbed hold and started biting my hand it was quite hard. There was an alligator in another one and I just took my hand out in time, apparently its jaws were open.  I think because they knew I was doing it they hammed up the animals they put in there.

“I was glad you didn’t have to do that one, it was only a little baby one but I’m glad I didn’t have to find out if it would have hurt.”

Impressed by how cool he was after the trial Charlie said “ He plays everything down, nothing seems to phase him.”

JUNGLE AWARDS

The celebrities were told that they would be hosting the Jungle Awards.

Armed with a host of awards and with the cardboard cut-outs of their fellow campmates lined up, the awards began.

Ashley joked, “I would have liked to have worn something a little more glamorous!”

The first award was for the ‘Bravest Campmate’.  Charlie said, “It’s got to be David.”  But the boxer suggested, “We’ve all been brave in one way or another, even Helen.”

Charlie disagreed and said, “She doesn’t get the bravest sorry.”

Ashley added that Nadine could possibly get the award for her Trials which included being placed in a coffin and the eating Trial, but again Charlie disagreed suggesting that she was not in the coffin for long enough.  The girls decided that the award should go to David, who joked, “I’m lost for words.”

The next award was for the ‘Happiest campmate’.  David suggested Rosemary and they all agreed.  They awarded Hugo the ‘Grumpiest camp mate’ and after placing the award around his cardboard cut out, Ashley said, “Hugo you’re amazing but you’re a moody ‘mofo’.

Next up was the ‘Worst Body’.  Ashley immediately suggested Eric, saying “his crack and titties hanging out all day long.”

They all agreed.  Later Ashley added, “Eric let it all hang out all day long, all the time every day.  His ass crack and titties were shown every day we didn’t have a choice.  Cover it up honey”

They awarded the ‘Loudest Campmate’ and ‘Bossiest Campmate’ to Rosemary and the ‘Most Cowardly’ to Helen.  “David said, “Helen finally got it in the end, but at one stage she was very cowardly and we missed many meals.

Charlie added, “We did, we missed five meals.  Its ain’t good enough.”

Hugo won his second award for “Best Dressed Campmate’.  Ashley joked, “The Best Dressed went to Hugo Taylor as it should, ‘Mr Vogue’ himself.  We all have the same clothes yet his looked pressed, neatly rolled up sleeves.  Everything was nice and crisp.  We were all like ‘did he smuggle an iron in?’”

David nominated himself for the ‘Windiest Campmate’ award.  Charlie agreed saying “I will give you this award with great honour.”

Ashley added, “I think there was a sense of pride in the ‘Windiest Campmate’ for David.  He kind of took that on as yes thank you very much.  There is no shame in his wind.”

David commented, “I would have been disgusted if that award went to anyone else.”

Helen received the award for the ‘Laziest Campmate’ with Ashley saying, “ Love you sweetheart but you didn’t do a damn thing around here.”

David read out the next award saying, “This is going to be a controversial one ladies, ‘Most Attractive’ camp mate.

Charlie said to David and Ashley, “Its between you two.”  David gave the award to Ashley, who said, “That’s a weird one to accept.”

Eric received a further two awards, the ‘Worst Dressed Campmate’ and ‘Most Entertaining Campmate.’

David and Ashley agreed that Charlie should receive the ‘Most Caring Campmate’ whilst David received his third award for ‘The Best Body.’

They awarded Brian the ‘Smelliest Campmate’ award, prompting Charlie to comment, “Sorry Brian we love you.”

David and Charlie agreed Ashley should win the award for ‘the ‘Best Singer’.  However, the Pussycat Doll suggested Limahl, but David said, “Come on you’re the best singer by far. (Limahl's) not as good as you.

MP, Nadine won the ‘Most Opinionated Campmate’, whilst Hugo won his third award of the ‘Cleanest Campmate.’

They awarded Limahl the ‘Most Irritating Campmate’ for his hair regime.  As they hung the award around the neck of his cardboard cut out, Charlie said, “Sorry Limahl, we do like you.”

HOT TUB QUIZ AND PARTY

The three remaining celebrities were told that they could win a host of prizes including an evening in the jungle hot tub if they answered a series of questions correctly.

The questions were about their fellow celebrities and for every two questions they got correct, they won the prizes which were fluffy white dressing gowns, scented candles, strawberries, chocolate, music, champagne and an evening in the hot tub.

The excited celebrities guessed the correct amount of answers and won all of the prizes.

They made their way to the hot tub  - where last year Peter Andre surprised celebrities including Willie Carson and Fatima Whitbread - and jumped into the bubbles with their champagne ate strawberries dipped in chocolate and sang along to tunes including Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

FAME

The three remaining celebrities discussed the perks and perils of fame.  David also revealed his aspirations to become an actor.

David revealed that the first time he realised he was famous was when he flew back to the UK after his legendary World Championship fight.  He said, “The first time I realised I was famous was when I went to Germany to fight for the Heavy Weight Champion of the World against that big 7ft 2in Russian.  I beat him and when I got back to the airport there were about 1000 people at the airport when I got off the plane.  I had all these armed guards come up to me, going ‘we’re your escorts’.  I thought ‘what have I done?’  It was a really strange experience.  It was mental.”

Talking about the perks of being famous, David added, “The best thing about being famous are the perks.  When I didn't have any money I always wanted stuff, clothes.  Now that ‘I've become well known and famous, the brands that I aspired to have, want me to wear their things, jeans companies, trainers.  What ever I wanted, they were like ‘OK, could you wear this?’  I’d go into a shop and they'd say ‘OK what do you want? Take what you want, just take a picture of you wearing it.’  They'd give me as much stuff as I want.  They were talking about cars, it was anything.”

He continued, “The worst bit is people trying to intrude on your private life.  People feel like your public property.  You can’t have it both ways though it’s a trade off, you can't take the perks and really moan about.  I don't really mind people coming up and asking for pictures autographs, that’s fine. It’s inconvenient sometimes, but the people who are asking you for a picture or an autograph are the people paying to watch me fight.”

Ashley told of the day she realised she was famous, she said. “When the group just starting exploding it kind of went from zero to 100 in a matter of seconds, like a rocket ship.  I didn't really have time even think about it.  I remember walking out of my hotel to grab a coffee in the morning and there were fans that were sleeping outside.  They had slept through the night.  They were there all day and all night just wanting to get a glimpse of you and I was like ‘what?  It’s so strange’

Charlie confessed,  “Mine’s not quite as exciting.  I suppose I realised I was recognised off the telly when I went to a shopping mall and got bombarded from people asking for autographs and pictures.  I was like ‘oh my god’, this autograph that I have been practicing since I was little.  I was like ‘you really want mine?’

She then added, “Maybe the downside is people thinking I'm like my character.  Just assuming you are like her, shouting horrible things all the time.”

When David asked how often this happened, Charlie confessed, “Quite a lot.  It was more when I was young.  Things like, ‘Janine you slag’.

A shocked David asked, “What do you do, laugh it off?"

Charlie added, “Yeah just laugh it off.  I've been doing it since I was 17.  So I’m very good at walking away and not being bothered by it at all.”

David told Charlie and Ashley of his aspirations to be an actor, he said, “In five years time obviously boxing will be gone.  I've got one maximum two more fights that I want, other than that I'm not interested in doing any more.  In five years time I’d like to be a well-established actor.  That's my ultimate goal.  People will not see me a boxer but as an actor, an actor who used to do boxing.  So watch this space.”

DINNER - Emu fillet

After David won a maximum three stars in the Trial, the celebrities dined out on Emu Fillets, Dok Kae, Cudgen gold sweet potato, Sugarloaf cabbage and Canistels for dessert.
