The male stars on 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' have been warned to "protect their crown jewels" from randy snakes.

The show's medic Bob McCarron has told campmates including Union J's George Shelley and retired footballer Kieron Dyer to be more careful around camp as the serpents are known to leave the bushes looking for a mate in the hot Australian weather and can be attracted to anything long and slithery.

Bob explained: "Snakes can be attracted to things that look like other snakes.

"Sometimes they will make their way to a branch for example to check if it's a friend or foe. The celebrities need to be on the lookout this year as we've had more snakes on site than ever before."

Bob is said to have told George and Kieron to be especially careful as the 22-year-old hunk has been growing close to 'Hollyoaks' actress Jorgie Porter and the 36-year-old star has been showering naked.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Some of the men in the camp are rumoured to be well endowed. So they need to protect their crown jewels from jungle nasties."

Meanwhile, creepy crawlies have reportedly been intruding on George and Jorgie's blossoming romance as deadly funnel-web spiders have set up camp on the secluded nook that was set aside for potential romances this year.

Bob said: "The funnel-webs like living on the creek. We know they are there and we regularly take them out."

The insider added: "The secret sex spot was just what the camp needed for some secluded nookie, but now the spiders have put paid to that."
