The Jamaican-born celebrity chef - who rose to fame as a cook on breakfast show 'TV-am' in the 80s - declined an offer to go in the jungle last year citing medical reasons, but is now ready to test herself and has agreed to travel Down Under to face the Bushtucker Trials for the new series.

Bosses hope as well her famous laugh Rustie will stir things up with her political views as she joined political party UKIP in 2004 and stood to become an MP in the 2005 General Election and tried to become a member of the European Parliament in 2009 as a representative of the West Midlands.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Rustie is larger than life and everyone knows who she is. She's bubbly and fun and will have a huge presence in the jungle. But she has some controversial political views that might rub some camp mates up the wrong way.

"Whatever happens, she should be great viewing and at least she'll be able to whip up some decent Bush Tucker grub."

The last reality series Rustie appeared on was 2013's 'Celebrity Super Spa', which also starred former 'I'm A Celeb...' contestant Helen Flanagan.
