Jeremy Vine is desperate to correct Craig Revel Horwood's poor English on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The BBC Radio 2 DJ has confessed he considered telling the judge that he'd used the wrong word when he compared his and his professional dance partner Karen Hauer's American Smooth to "a paranormal phenomena" in the second week of the competition.

He said: "Craig used the wrong word there, didn't he? He should have said phenomenon. 'Phenomena' would mean that there had been more than one of them.

"And I had the wicked thought: do I answer back? Do I tell Craig, 'I'm sorry, but you have just mauled the English language in front of ten million people. You meant paranormal phenomenon. Now apologise before we move on."

However, the 50-year-old star - who was at the bottom of the leader board after his Waltz this weekend - decided against correcting notoriously grumpy Craig.

Writing in his column for Radio Times magazine, Jeremy added: "I toyed with making my protest for a fraction of a second. But - nope. I was too scared to tick him off, and my job as a dance trainee is to accept the shaft. Even when it demolishes the language as well as the contestant."
