The 'EastEnders' star dated her professional dance partner Artem Chigvintsev - who she met on the BBC One show - for four years and claims the producers put her with the dancer knowing they were both single.

She told The Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine: "I was single and they put me with the single guy! I was so angry.

"I was determined we wouldn't get together and then of course you're spending so much time with this person and he was so wonderful... So yes, it was inevitable really. It was my worst nightmare. I hate people knowing everything."

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old actress previously revealed she is feeling more "comfortable" in her own skin since splitting from Artem.

She said previously: "Being on your own means you have no choice but to concentrate on yourself and that's been a really good thing for me. I've immersed myself in work I love, I'm finding time for things

I enjoy, like painting - I love to paint - and I've taken up yoga and wall climbing.

"It's funny, because all of a sudden I've become comfortable in my own skin. I've got this energy I didn't have in my 20s. I've done everything a bit topsy-turvy, in that I always used to be a homebody, vegging on the sofa, but now I'm enjoying going out and having fun. I've got a bit of catching up to do, for sure."
