The BBC Proms presenter is performing the Argentine Tango with professional partner Anton du Beke at the weekend but had to pull out of a training session after injuring herself while practising a scissor-kick lift.

A source said: "Katie smashed one heel on to the top of her other foot. The howl was audible.

"Katie couldn't continue. She had to end the training session with an ice pack pressed against her foot."

However, the 45-year-old star was back in rehearsals the next day and fought through the pain.

Katie told The Sun newspaper: "It's a great routine, really enjoyable to do."

Meanwhile, 'EastEnders' actress Kellie Bright and 'Countryfile' presenter Anita Rani are also suffering with injuries they've picked up on the show.

Kellie said: "I've got a dodgy hamstring and dodgy hip and I've bruised the balls of my feet."

Anita added: "I ripped my hamstring in week two, that has been with me ever since."
