Overload Generation and Blonde Electra became the first acts to be booted from this year's X Factor live shows.

The sisters and five-piece boyband were kicked out in a double elimination after receiving the lowest number of public votes, meaning Louis Walsh's acts left in the competition were halved to two.

Blonde Electra immediately left the competition whilst Overload Generation lost out in a sing-off against Stephanie Nala.

Judges were split about who to save, with Simon and Cheryl sending Overload Generation home but Louis and Mel B saving them.

Taken to deadlock it was revealed Overload Generation received the lowest number of votes.

Disappointed to lose them, Louis had some simple words of encouragement for the boyband: "I want them [Overload Generation] to stay together and become a big band."

The X Factor continues this Saturday and Sunday on ITV.
