The 'X Factor' boss reportedly has a string of backstage demands for the show, which include a king-sized bed and a personal barman, as well as a playroom for his 19-month-old son Eric.

A source said: "Simon's dressing room is like a mini version of his house - he even has a king-sized bed and bath, plus a storage area for his Champagne.

"His list of requirements also includes a barman, massage therapist and a gold buggy cart to take him around."

Meanwhile, the insider claims Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has a staggering £150,000 budget for her stylists and a further £100,000 to cover hair and make-up expenses, while her spacious backstage area includes a space for entertaining guests and boxing equipment for husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

And after recently sparking fears with her slender frame, lots of protein shakes and healthy meals are on her menu.

A source said: "Cheryl knows she needs to make a big effort to show she's eating enough and is healthy.

"She's drinking protein shakes and increasing how much protein she eats so she can build more muscle.

"Backstage, she has her own private menu, with organic fruit and veg, energy-boosting soups and steamed fish, as well as protein-packed snacks of avocado and nuts. Being happy and healthy is the most important thing to her right now."

Unlike Simon and Cheryl, new judges Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw have made less extravagant requests, mainly asking for alcohol and nibbles such as Maltesers and Kettle Chips.

The source added to Closer magazine: "They've asked for video games and TV screens and Nick requested a sofa to sleep on."
