Sasha Banks has been hidden away from WWE fans since WrestleMania, on April 7th, 2019. Dropping the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles alongside her partner Bayley, she is said to have been frustrated with the decision to have the gold stripped away, and cancelled a chat show appearance the following day. Since that point, Banks has only been mentioned on a couple of occasions during Monday Night Raw; usually by an opponent who would question why she wasn't showing up.

So, when the five-time women's champion made her return in a blaze of anger and aggression during last night's edition of Raw (August 12th, 2019), fans were over-the-moon to see her back and instantly making an impact.

Celebrating the comeback, we take a look not only at that incredible moment, in which she beat down both Natalya and The Man Becky Lynch, but throw back to some of her most memorable appearances in WWE to-date.

7. Sasha makes her return to Monday Night Raw

Luring in her former friend Natalya with a hug, before ambushing the Canadian athlete and beating her down despite the circumstances which saw Natty remembering her late father on the one year anniversary of his passing, Sasha showcased an attitude many of us have been hoping to see return for some time.

Removing her purple wig and showing that with this new personality comes an all-new look, she was then met by the Raw Women's Champion, who attempted to pummel some respect into the returnee. Sasha got the upper hand however, beating down The Man and grabbing a steel chair with which to slam across her back repeatedly. This was the perfect start to a brand new feud.

6. Sasha Banks versus Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn

She may have dropped the title to Bayley here, but that doesn't stop the match from being one of the most impressive we've ever seen Sasha take part in. She was violent and aggressive, willing to bend the rules and break her competitor's bones in order to retain the championship, and whilst it wasn't something she was able to do in the end, this paved the way for Sasha to make an instant impression during her move to the main WWE roster.

5. Sasha Banks defeats Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women's Championship

An incredible feud that offered up many beautiful matches, Sasha versus Charlotte is something that will stick with fans for years to come. One of the best bouts came in a Falls Count Anywhere match in November 2016, where Sasha would eventually end up beating Charlotte and picking up the Raw Women's Championship.

4. Sasha competes in the first women's Hell in a Cell

Another huge match in Sasha and Charlotte's feud came when the pair competed in the first-ever women's Hell in a Cell match. It looked as though the bout may not actually go ahead when Charlotte took down Sasha before the ring had even reached the floor, and the bell had even rung, but history was made as the two went toe-to-toe.

3. Sasha and Bayley win the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Championships

Not only were the women making history by entering the Elimination Chamber on February 17th, 2019, but the winners would walk out as the first-ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Following a fractious friendship which would often teeter on the brink of destruction, Banks and Bayley formed their own team called The Boss 'n' Hug Connection, and wiped the floor with their competition. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were their final competitors inside the chamber, and after taking them out, they started their 49-day reign.

2. The Four Horsewomen square off for the NXT Women's Championship

On February 11th, 2015, Sasha Banks would enter into a Fatal Four-Way against her fellow Four Horsewomen, Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Becky Lynch. When all was said and done, she would emerge victorious, and raise her first WWE title above her head. It was the start of a brutal yet brilliant run which allowed Sasha to float above the fray and prove that the WWE was her perfect home.

This was the ultimate heel move, which cemented Sasha as one of the most unpredictable villains on WWE's roster. We've seen the young star in a face role in the past, but she absolutely shines when she's allowed to run free in this fashion. Whilst we can't embed the video here, click this link to see Sasha in her element.
