A brand new featurette has been released by HBO, showing just what goes into making the forthcoming sixth season and revealing some brand new footage in the process.

Giving fans 'The Best Seat in the House', the five minute video of course keeps any major details regarding storyline underwraps, but does enough to whet the appetite of returning viewers who can't wait to get their GoT fix.

Focusing on the practical elements of creating Game of Thrones, we hear from camera operators Sean Savage, David Worley, Ben Wilson and David Morgan who discuss the challenges facing them in capturing the action.

Amongst the storyline teases, we're shown Jaqen H'ghar (Thomas Wlaschiha) preparing to take the face off a corpse, whilst two boys spar in the Winterfell courtyard that we're yet to be introduced to - unless this is part of a flashback. Daenerys (Emilia Clark) is also seen with Dothraki warriors, whilst Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) and Meera Reed (Ellie Kendrick) are amongst the castmembers still alive (for now) and filming various scenes.

Now all we can ask for is an official, full trailer ahead of next month's big premiere, which should come within the next few weeks.

Game of Thrones returns to the US on HBO on Sunday, April 24, and is expected to air the day after in the UK on Sky Atlantic.
