Millions are waiting for the return of Game of Thrones and finally the weekend has arrived when the season 6 premiere is to broadcast on screens across the world. Journalists and everyday viewers are all in the same boat this year, as the illegal leaking of press screeners in the past led to a banning of them altogether this year and only a handful of people being invited to the world premiere in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Game of Thrones returns on Sunday, April 24 on HBO in the US, simulcast in the UK on Sky Atlantic and then shown 9pm on Mondays on the same channel in the UK.
