Adam Thomas is pleased he's joining 'Emmerdale' as part of a family.
The former 'Waterloo Road' star - who will appear in the ITV soap from next month in the role of Adam Barton - feels less pressure is on him as there are four other characters arriving with him.
He said: "I think it would be scarier if I was coming in on my own but we're all new to the show. We all get on really well so it's really exciting. I'm looking forward to it all. The first scenes were really good. Everyone was really friendly and were looking after us."

The Barton family - which consists of parents John and Moira, and their three teenage children, Hannah, Holly and Adam - arrive in Emmerdale to run Butler Farm after upsizing from their own country pile.
Although they quickly settle into Emmerdale life, a dramatic accident starts a volatile relationship with the Wylde family.
