Ali Bastian said she's glad her 'Hollyoaks' character was killed off.
'The Bill' actress said she likes the fact she can't return to the Channel 4 soap - in which she played Becca Dean - because instead she has to keep pushing her career onward and exploring a new town.
She told Britain's New magazine: "They killed me off from 'Hollyoaks', so I can't go back. In a way, it's good because I have to keep moving forward.
"I lived in Liverpool for years when I was in 'Hollyoaks'. I loved it, but I was ready for a change and I'm starting to enjoy living in London. I really enjoy the show. I've been there for two and a half years now."

Ali says she's also fallen into a good group of friends in 'The Bill', where she plays Policewoman Sally Armstrong, and is looking forward to the show's "grittier" new image when it re-launches on Thursday (23.07.09) at the later time of 9pm.
She added: "I've got a nice gang who I always end up working with: Sam Callis (Callum Stone), Micah Balfour (Benjamin Gayle) and Ben Richards (Nate Roberts). We're a little 'uniform' gang.
"With the later show we can tackle gritty storylines that we haven't been able to before, which everyone is really excited about."
