Carla Connor continues lying about Liam's death when she returns to 'Coronation Street'.

The feisty Underworld boss - played by Alison King - will continue deceiving her friends and colleagues about her involvement in the death of her late brother-in-law when she returns to the street from a stay in the US.

Alison said: "Of course Carla won't confess. She's covering her own back. She doesn't want people to know she went to Los Angeles knowing she was leaving a killer among them..."

She knows she won't have many friends if the whole truth comes out that she knew what Tony had done and kept quiet, so she denies all knowledge of Tony's crime and lies and says she hasn't seen him since January.

The brunette beauty fled overseas earlier this year after learning her estranged husband had killed her lover, Liam, when he learned of their affair.

On her return to Britain, the outspoken character is quick to get her alibi straight.

Alison told Soaplife magazine: "Carla needs to find out how much Maria knows. She wants to find out if anyone knew she was back at the time of little Liam's christening so she can get her story straight.

"She knows she won't have many friends if the whole truth comes out that she knew what Tony had done and kept quiet, so she denies all knowledge of Tony's crime and lies and says she hasn't seen him since January."
